From 16-20 September 2024, PhD students from England, Finland, Lithuania, Mexico, Austria and Germany visited the IESW Mineralogy Department to take part in a compact course on spatially resolved isotope and trace element measurements using a femtosecond laser coupled to an ICP mass spectrometer. The geochemistry department at the IESW is particularly specialised in the in situ measurement of stable metal isotopes and is one of the leading laboratories in this field, so that the regularly offered doctoral courses attract international interest.
